Just outside Dublin is the county of Wicklow, which has some exquisite hiking spots including this view of Guinness Lake or Loch Tay.

In the town of Glendalough is the monastic site, an early Christian settlement by St Kevin.
Glendalough means valley of two lakes. This is the lower lake.
Bray's Head - a nice cliff walk by the railway, with trains passing by and cormorants fishing at the rocks by the surf.
