The land of Winterfell

The Antrim coast in Northern Ireland is Game of Thrones country - many of the scenes from the TV series were shot here. This particular viewpoint looks out upon the Scottish coast on the horizon. The white dots are grazing sheep..

To the left is Scotland's Mull of Kintyre, immortalized by the song by Sir Paul McCartney and the Wings. To the right is Dunluce Castle.

The Dark Hedges featured in GoT during Arya Stark's escape along the King's road. It consists of several beech trees planted way back in 1775 and has given rise to some local ghost stories. The trees truly belong in a nightmare.
